Vascular Tissues: The leaf contains vascular tissues, including xylem and phloem, which form the leaf veins. Xylem transports water and minerals from the roots to the rest of the plant, while phloem transports sugars produced during photosynthesis to other parts of the plant.
Stomata: Stomata are small openings in the epidermis that allow for gas exchange. They are surrounded by guard cells, which control the opening and closing of the stomata to regulate gas exchange and water loss.
