Мэру Казани Ильсуру Метшину представили проекты благоустройства зеленых зон и улиц города. Среди них благоустройство территории ГИДУВ по улице Бутлерова. Территорию хотят разделить на 4 части: входная группа, тихая зона отдыха, внутренний дворик и хозяйственная зона. В планах установить там бюст или барельеф в честь академика Александра Лурии.

Небольшой сквер им.Вишневского предлагают сделать более заметным. По задумке архитекторов там можно обустроить места для отдыха, клумбы с лечебными растениями и отреставрировать памятник известному врачу.

Планируют благоустроить и сквер на улице Татарстан, на пересечении с улицой Тукая. Сейчас, по словам архитекторов, он изолирован из-за торговых объектов.

- Хочется навести на этой территории порядок, поскольку это вход в историческую зону, - заявила главный архитектор Казани Жанна Белицкая. В свою очередь Ильсур Метшин отметил, что эта территория находится на пути к водным воротам Казани – речному порту.
