Может потому что,он приучен ко внешней дисциплине(например: вести себе подобающе в общественных местах),а с внутренней ему надо разобраться самому,формироваться.

Why is it easier for a person to adhere to external discipline than internal discipline?

Adhering to discipline, whether it is external or internal, can be challenging for many individuals. However, some people may find it easier to follow external discipline compared to internal discipline. Here are a few reasons why this might be the case:

1. External Accountability: External discipline often comes with external accountability. When individuals are accountable to someone else, such as a boss, teacher, or coach, they may feel a greater sense of obligation to meet expectations and follow the rules. The fear of negative consequences or the desire for rewards can motivate individuals to adhere to external discipline.

2. Clear Guidelines and Structure: External discipline is often accompanied by clear guidelines and structure. When rules and expectations are clearly defined, individuals have a roadmap to follow, making it easier to adhere to the discipline. The absence of ambiguity can provide a sense of security and make it easier to stay on track.

3. Social Pressure and Norms: External discipline is often reinforced by social pressure and societal norms. When individuals see others around them adhering to certain rules or behaviors, they may feel compelled to do the same. The fear of judgment or the desire to fit in can motivate individuals to follow external discipline.

4. Immediate Consequences: External discipline often comes with immediate consequences. When individuals fail to adhere to external discipline, they may face immediate negative consequences, such as reprimands, penalties, or loss of privileges. The immediacy of these consequences can serve as a deterrent and motivate individuals to comply with external discipline.

5. Lack of Self-Control: Adhering to internal discipline requires a high level of self-control and self-regulation. Some individuals may find it challenging to exercise self-control consistently, especially when faced with temptations or distractions. External discipline provides external structures and accountability that can compensate for the lack of self-control.

It's important to note that these reasons are not exhaustive, and individual experiences may vary. Some individuals may find it easier to adhere to internal discipline due to personal traits, values, or motivations. It's also worth mentioning that both external and internal discipline can be valuable in different contexts and situations. Developing a balance between the two can lead to a more holistic approach to self-discipline.

I hope this explanation helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
