Все - это многотомные издания) попробую вкратце. Рано лишился отца, жил при регентстве матери Елены Глинской, пока та не умерла. В детстве и юности стал свидетелем интриг и прочих грязных дел окружающих его бояр. Стал первым русским царем в 1547. Взял Казань (1552) и Астрахань (1556), вел проигрышную для России Ливонскую войну (1558-83). Создал регулярное стрелецкое войско, издал судебник (1550), созвал стоглавый собор (1551), впервые ввел суд присяжных. При нем началось покорение Сибири Ермаком. В 1565-72 ввел опричнину и провел репрессии неугодных ему бояр.
