Голод, разруха  в стране, которую вызвала Опричнина Ивана 4. Не удачная для России Ливонская война, она так и не дала возможность России обрести выход к Балтике. Постоянная смена власть, не было человека, который окончательно бы укрепился на русском престоле. Из-за  не урожая, который вызвала засуха, произошло крестьянское восстание Хлопка. Все это послужило причинами недовольства людей.
