Сама Россия, как обозначение государства, появилось в начале 18 века (а до этого она была Московия), и сам Пётр Первый считал себя царём Московитским... про Русь (в глобальном смысле) там ничего не имелось. Только для оправдания захватов, появилась теория "Собирания земель Русских"....Вобщем в таком аспекте....Один из возможных ответов.
