Греческая колонизация проходила в период с 8 по 9 век до нашей эры.  

То есть Греция как государство уже сформировалось, и данный процесс колонизации проходил только с целью расширения зоны влияния, поскольку и государственность, и классовое общество в Греции уже было сформировано.

Колонизация в 8-9 века происходила из-за того, что земля распределялась не совсем справедливо, в Греции возникла острая классовая борьба, и развитие внутри страны ремесла и торговли повлекли за собой колонизацию.

И отсюда мы получаем первый очень важный результат – колонизация способствовала развитию внешней торговли. Посредством колонизации греки отправлялись в разные точки Средиземного моря. Греция всеми правдами и неправдами стремилась расширить торговые связи.  

Отсюда появляется второй результат – развитие работорговли, так как экономические и торговые связи Греции усиляются, страна начинает все больше и больше торговать с метрополиями, производственные силы растут и зарождается работорговля.

Плюс, появляется еще один результат – Греция начинает борьбу с финикийцами за место под солнцем - геополитическое значение Греции усиливается.

И также Греция вступает на новую стадию развития, где ремесло, морская торговля развиваются быстрее, а социально-экономическая структура общества изменяется.
