Любые законы – это основа правопорядка в государстве. Законы Хаммурапи, не исключение. Конечно, они помогли поддержать порядок в царстве, но благоденствия людям они не принесли. В роскоши, красоте и спокойствии пребывали только некоторые «из высших по положению», остальные же проводили свои дни в трудах, заботе, страхе.
