Загальнонаціональне опитування студентів було  проведене з 5 по 12 березня 2015 р. Фондом «Демократичні ініціативи» імені Ілька Кучеріва  та фірмою «Юкрейніан соціолоджі сервіс». Усього було опитано 1001 респондент за національною вибіркою вузів України, що є репрезентативною для студентського загалу  за розташуванням ВНЗ,  формою власності, курсом навчання. Похибка вибірки не перевищує 3.2%. Опитування в Криму, Донецькій та Луганській областях не проводилось.

Для порівняння наводяться результати загальнонаціонального опитування студентів, проведеного у березні 2011 року, та загальнонаціональне опитування населення України,  проведеного у грудні 2014 року. Обидва опитування  Фонд «Демократичні ініціативи» провів разом із  фірмою «Юкрейніан соціолоджі сервіс».
