Почему,несмотря на привлекательность торговли с восточными странами и африкой,греки не колонизовали южные территории

Южные территории были довольно сильными и греки не смогли их колонизировать даже при тех условиях, если бы они хотели. Ибо там было кол-во отдельных "стран, государств", не помню точно, на что там подразделялось, точнее помню, но на другом языке. Так вот, суть такова, что у греков не было бы целой сильной армии, ибо греки воевали меж собой, так как говорилось ранее, что в Греции были отдельные Госудраственные страны, у каждой из которых была своя армия, и они воевали меж собой и,конечно, не горели желанием воссоединиться, чтобы  колонизировать какую-то другую территорию.
З.Ы. Так-же известно, что Греки колонизировали только то, что было "свободной территорией" т.е. для захвата которой не нужно было много сил и войск.
