Ответы на вопрос

What is a pole?
A pole, in the context of geography and Earth's magnetic field, refers to one of the two points on the Earth's surface where the magnetic field lines converge and enter or emerge from the planet. These points are known as the North Pole and the South Pole. The North Pole is located in the Arctic region, while the South Pole is located in Antarctica.
The Earth's magnetic field is generated by the movement of molten iron in its outer core. This magnetic field extends from the Earth's interior into space and plays a crucial role in protecting the planet from harmful solar radiation. The magnetic field lines form loops around the Earth, with the poles being the points where these lines intersect the Earth's surface.
It's important to note that the geographic poles, which are the points where the Earth's axis of rotation intersects its surface, are different from the magnetic poles. The geographic North Pole is located at the northernmost point on Earth, while the geographic South Pole is located at the southernmost point.
