My grandpa says that the gnome comes from Germany and in Britain it appeared 200 years ago. Since that time these garden ornaments have been a symbol of the British garden. I think Madame Tussaud’s is the best! Marie Tussaud, a Swiss waxwork modeler, came to England in 1802 and opened a museum. Now it is known as Madame Tussaud’s. It is one of the most interesting British museums! The museum is packed with life-size wax figures of famous people – popular politicians, film actors, musicians… It is not easy to make a wax figure. Do you know that a modeler should take more than 150 measurements to make a wax figure of a real person? Sometimes the process of making a wax figure lasts 6 months and costs more than £30,000! I’m crazy about football! Football is the British national sport. Everyone knows that football comes from Britain. But not everyone knows that the first football match took place in 1175. But that game was very different from modern football. There were no rules! Modern English football clubs play to win the FA Cup. The FA Cup Final is the biggest day in the sporting calendar. The first FA Cup competition took place in the 1871-1872 season, when just 15 teams played. My favourite football team is Manchester United. It has been FA Cup winner 11 times!

Большинство деревенских жителей приветливы и общительны. Я живу в удобном маленьком коттедже в маленькой уютной деревне и очень её люблю! Если я выгляну из окошка,то увижу прекрасный яркий сад,полный удивительных цветов и весёлых гномов. Мой дедушка говорит,что гномы появились в Германии,а в Британии появились 200 лет назад. Я думаю,Мадам Тюссо лучшая! Мадам Тюссо,швейцарская моделистка восковых фигур,в 1802 году приехала в Англию и открыла собственный музей. Который сейчас известен как музей Мадам Тюссо. Это один из наиболее интересных музеев Англии. В нём выставлены восковые фигуры знаменитых людей в полный рост -- знаменитых политиков,актёров,музыкантов..не так и просто делать восковые фигуры. Знаете ли вы,что для того,чтобы создать восковую фигуру реального человека,моделист должен сделать более чем 150 измерений? Иногда процесс моделирования фигуры длится 6 месяцев и стоит более 30.000 долларов!

Я помешан на футболе! Футбол -- национальный английский спорт. Каждый знает,что он был изобретён в Англии. Но не всякий знает,что первый футбольный матч прошёл в 1175 году. Но игра была гораздо сложнее,чем современная. И правил не было! Современные футбольные клубы играют,чтобы завоевать Кубок Англии. Финал этого соревнования -- это величайший день в спортивном календаре. Первое подобное событие проходило в сезон 1871-1872,где играли уже только 15 команд. Моя любимая команда -- это Манчестер Юнайтед. Она выигрывала Кубок 11 раз!
