This large country borders with Finland, Norway, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus, Poland, Georgia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, China, Azerbaijan, and North Korea. Russia also shares borders by the Bering Strait with the United States and by the Sea of Okhotsk with Japan.

The biggest city of Russia is its capital Moscow. The second biggest city is Saint-Petersburg – the former capital of the country. The Russian Federation biggest cities are:
