In thinking this, Saburov suddenly thought of himself and of all he had gone through during these four days and he felt all his bones aching with weariness. With great difficulty, he pulled out his watch. It showed 9.15. It was exactly one hundred and three hours since he had jumped into this very room after he had thrown a grenade into it. Three hours after Saburov had gone to bed, he was aroused by the buzzing of the telephone.
