It was time for Humbert to start first grade. "I don't want to go to school," said Humbert and started to cry. "You will like it. Be brave," his mother said. When Humbert and his mother got to the bus stop, Humbert saw Chester, the bus driver. "Hop in," the bus driver said. Humbert hopped in. "I don't want to go to school. I'm scared," Humbert said. "I'm nervous, too," said the bus driver. "This is the first time I drive the school bus. Will you help me? When you see the school, shout 'There it is,' and I'll know where to stop." Humbert wiped away his tears. "There it is!" he shouted when he saw the school. "Thanks a lot, Humbert. Have a nice day," the bus driver said. "I don't want to go in the school," Humbert said. "Give me your pencil and some paper," the bus driver said. He wrote something on the paper and gave it to Humbert. "Show this to Miss Crumb, your teacher," he said. When Humbert came into the school, he saw Miss Crumb. Humbert gave her the note. Miss Crumb read it, “This is my friend. Please help him not to be scared. Thank you, Chester the bus driver.” “Chester’s friends are my friends too. Welcome to school, Humbert,” Miss Crumb said. Humbert looked at all the strange faces in the room. He wanted to cry. Miss Crumb put her arm around him. “Do you see that fellow in the corner? He’s scared, too. Go to him and say something nice.” Humbert came up to the fellow. “Don’t cry,” Humbert said. “My name is Humbert. What’s your name?” asked Humbert. “My name is Ralphie,” the fellow said. “I will be your friend and you can be my friend,” Humbert said. Ralphie wiped away his tears and said, “OK. I hope school won’t be so bad then.” When they sat together, Humbert smiled. He had three school friends, Chester, Miss Crumb and Ralphie. He didn’t want cry. In fact, he felt good.

"Спасибо большое Хамберт. Хорошего тебе для" сказал водитель автобуса. "Я не хочу идти в школу" сказал Хамберт. "Дай мне свой карандаш и какой-нибудь листочек" попросил водитель. Он написал что-то на листочке и протянул его Хамберту. "Покажи его своей учительнице, Мисс Крамб" сказал водитель. 
Когда Хамберт вошел в школу, он увидел Мисс Крамб. Он отдал ей записку. Мисс Крамб прочитала "Это мой друг. Пожалуйста,помогите ему перестать бояться. Спасибо. Водитель автобуса Честер". Друзья Честера это и мои друзья тоже. Добро пожаловать в школу Хамберт." Сказала Мисс Крамб.
Хамберт посмотрел на все незнакомые лица в комнате. Ему хотелось плакать. Мисс Крамб приобняла его за плечи " Видишь тогомальчила в углу? Он тоже боится. Подойти к нему и скажи что-нибудь приятное" Хамберт подошел к мальчику. "Не плачь" сказалХамберт. "Меня зовут Хамберт, а тебя?" спросил Хамберт. "Меня зовут Ралфи" сказал мальчик. "Я буду твоим другом, а ты можешь быть моим другом" сказал Хамберт. Ралфи вытер слезы и сказал "Хорошо. Тогда, я надеюсь, школа будет не так йж и плохой."
Когда они сели вместе, Хамберт улыбался. У него было три школьных друга: Честер, Мисс Крамб и Ралфи. Ему не хотелось плакать. На самом деле, ему было хорошо.

It was a big day for Humbert as he prepared to start first grade. However, he didn't want to go to school and started to cry. His mother reassured him, telling him that he would like it and encouraged him to be brave. They made their way to the bus stop, where Humbert saw Chester, the bus driver. Chester kindly told Humbert to hop in the bus.

Still feeling scared, Humbert expressed his fear to the bus driver. Surprisingly, Chester admitted that he was nervous too because it was his first time driving the school bus. He asked Humbert for help, requesting him to shout, "There it is!" when they reached the school so he would know where to stop.

Humbert wiped away his tears and eagerly shouted when he spotted the school, helping Chester navigate to the right stop. The bus driver expressed his gratitude and wished Humbert a nice day. However, Humbert still didn't want to go inside the school.

Chester came up with a plan to help Humbert overcome his fear. He asked for a pencil and paper, wrote something on it, and gave it to Humbert. He instructed him to show it to Miss Crumb, his teacher. With the note in hand, Humbert entered the school and found Miss Crumb. He handed her the note, which read, "This is my friend. Please help him not to be scared. Thank you, Chester the bus driver."

Miss Crumb read the note and warmly welcomed Humbert to the school, emphasizing that Chester's friends were her friends too. Humbert felt slightly overwhelmed by the unfamiliar faces in the room and felt like crying. Sensing his distress, Miss Crumb comforted him by putting her arm around him. She encouraged him to approach a fellow student who appeared scared as well and say something nice to him.

Following Miss Crumb's advice, Humbert approached the fellow student, Ralphie, and introduced himself. Humbert assured Ralphie not to cry and suggested that they become friends. Ralphie, wiping away his tears, agreed and said that he hoped school wouldn't be so bad with a friend like Humbert.

As they sat together, Humbert couldn't help but smile. He now had three school friends - Chester, Miss Crumb, and Ralphie. With their support and friendship, Humbert no longer wanted to cry. In fact, he felt good and ready to embrace his first day of school.
