Another и other - имеет одно и то же значение "еще одну\еще другие", только another (проще будет понять, если вы будите воспринимать это слово как an other) используется с существительным в ед.ч., например May I have another cup of coffee - могу ли я получить еще одну чашку кофе, This pen doesn't work, give me another (one) - это ручка не пишет, дай мне еще одну. А Other используется с существительными мн.ч., например You need to think about other people too - тебе стоит думать о других (еще остальных) людях тоже, Do you have other toys similar to this one - у вас есть другие игрушки (еще другой вариант игрушек) наподобие этой. 
В обще another/other значит "другой" в плане "что-то еще\какой-то второй вариант", думайте о них, как о словах, которые можно знаменить one more/more. 

Different же имеется в виду, что-то или кто-то, что отличается от других; не такой, как другие; не похожий на других. Например The weather is different this summer - этим летом погода другая (на такая, как прошлым). I go to a different school - я хожу в другую школу (не в ту же школу, в которую ходит мой брат например)
