What can separate the two continents

Ответы на вопрос

There are different ways to define the boundaries between continents, but one common method is to use natural features such as oceans, seas, straits, or mountains. For example, the Isthmus of Suez separates Africa and Asia, the Turkish straits and the Caucasus mountains separate Asia and Europe, and the Isthmus of Panama separates North and South America.
However, these boundaries are not always clear or fixed, and they may change over time due to geological processes such as continental drift, plate tectonics, or volcanic activity. Continental drift is the movement of the Earth's continents relative to each other, which can result in the formation or closure of oceans, the splitting or merging of continents, or the creation or destruction of islands.
For instance, about 500 million years ago, there was only one large continent called Pangaea, which later broke apart into smaller continents that drifted away from each other. Some of the continents are still moving today, such as Africa and South America, which are moving away from each other at a rate of about 2.5 centimeters (1 inch) per year.
Therefore, what can separate the two continents depends on how we define the continents, what natural features we use to mark their boundaries, and how the continents have changed or will change over time due to the Earth's dynamic geology.
