3.So, novel- writing was popular as in America as in England. My favourite english-speaking novelists're O. Wilde , E.A. Poe , O. Henry. In my childhood I was really interested in Wilde's " The Canterville Ghost", because I loved his mystical plot and some of main characters' immoral behavior.
4. That's important for people to train their own imaganation. That's why i think firstly you should read a play and imagine how you suppose it 'd look in your mind, and after that watch somebody's interpretation.

1) Some famous Russian novels I know include "Crime and Punishment" by Fyodor Dostoevsky, written in 1866, and "Anna Karenina" by Leo Tolstoy, written in 1877. Other notable Russian novels are "War and Peace" by Leo Tolstoy (1869), "Doctor Zhivago" by Boris Pasternak (1957), and "The Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov (written between 1928 and 1940). Yes, I have read some of them.
2) It usually takes me a few weeks to a couple of months to finish a novel, depending on its length and my schedule. The last novel I read was "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I began reading it because I had heard great reviews and wanted to experience the story myself. I find the characters in "The Great Gatsby" to be complex and intriguing, each with their own motivations and flaws.
3) Yes, I am familiar with several English-speaking novelists. Some of them include Harper Lee, who wrote "To Kill a Mockingbird," George Orwell, who wrote "1984," and J.K. Rowling, known for the "Harry Potter" series. I have read books by all three of these authors, and I enjoy their storytelling and character development.
4) Reading plays can be challenging compared to reading novels, as they are meant to be performed rather than solely read. However, I have read some plays, including William Shakespeare's works such as "Romeo and Juliet" and "Macbeth." My impression of these plays is that they are incredibly rich in language and explore complex themes. I have also seen some of these plays performed in the theater, and the live performances added another layer of excitement and engagement to the experience. I believe watching plays in the theater can enhance the understanding and enjoyment of the work, as it allows for the visual and auditory elements to come to life.
