But today we face one urgent problem - the industry keeps on developing and it results in air pollution. There are so many factories around that exhaust wastes into the air. If you live in city you have certainly noticed how hard it is to breath sometimes. This happens because of huge amount of cars and their exhausts. In some countries there is even a law that allows families to have only one car to reduce the amount of harmful substances that they throw into the air.
Why is air pollution so dangerous? Of course the first reason is that we need fresh air to breathe. Another reason is greenhouse effect. Around the Earth we have an ozon layer which saves us from the harmful effect of ultraviolet radiation. All the wastes we throw into the air destroy the ozon layer and more radiation penetrates into the atmosphere. Consequently, the air becomes hotter and this is called greenhouse effect which results in global warming. Why is global warming dangerous? It causes ice to melt and this can lead to world flood.
There are still some measures people can take to reduce air pollution. First of all factories should use special filters on their smoke stacks. People should decrease logging and the thing every person can do is to plant more trees. In our city we have a special event when people plant trees along the embankment. I think this is very useful. We should also make everyone aware of global problems and have special ecological education at schools. Because we have only one planet to live and we must save it. Unfortunately we must save it from ourselves.Очевидно, что воздух необходим всему живому на нашей планете – людям, животным и растениям. Без воздуха на Земле не могла бы существовать жизнь. Но сегодня перед нами стоит острая проблема – индустрия продолжает развиваться и это приводит к загрязнению воздуха. Вокруг так много фабрик, которые выбрасывают отходы в воздух. Если вы живете в городе, то вы, конечно, замечали, как тяжело иногда бывает дышать. Это происходит из-за огромного количества машин и выхлопных газов. В некоторых странах даже есть закон, который позволяет семьям иметь только одну машину, чтобы снизить количество вредных веществ, которые они выбрасывают в воздух.
Почему же загрязнение воздуха так опасно? Конечно, во-первых, нам нужен свежий воздух, чтобы дышать. Другая причина – это парниковый эффект. Вокруг земли существует озоновый слой, который защищает нас от вредного воздействия ультрафиолетовых лучей. Все отходы, выбрасываемые в воздух, разрушают озоновый слов и большее количество излучения проникает в атмосферу. Соответственно, воздух становится теплее. Это и называется парниковый эффект, который вызывает глобальное потепление. Почему опасно глобальное потепление? Оно приводит к таянию ледников, что в свою очередь может привести к всемирному потопу. 
Однако мы все еще можем принять меры, чтобы снизить уровень загрязнения воздуха. Прежде всего, фабрики должны использовать специальные фильтры на своих дымовых трубах. Люди должны сократить вырубку лесов и каждый человек может сажать деревья. В нашем городе проходит специальное мероприятие, когда люди сажают деревья вдоль набережной. Я думаю, это очень полезно. Мы также должны рассказать всем о глобальных проблемах и ввести специальное экологическое образование в школах. Потому что у нас только одна планета для жизни, и мы должны ее спасти. К сожалению, мы должны спасти ее от самих себя.
