The Spasskaya Tower was build under the guidance of Pietro-Antonio Solario in 1491, was rectangular in form and approximately half its present height. In the 16th century it was fitted with a clock and in 1625 the Russian architect Bazhen Ogurtsov built the octagonal multitiered turret which now surmounts the rectangular tower. A new clock was built on the turret equipped with a revolving face and a carillon by the Englishman, Christopher Halloway. The bells of the carillon were cast by Kirill Samoilov. In the reigh of Peter the Great the clock was replaced. The clock we see now was installed in 1851-52.
The lenght of the minute hand on the clock is 3.28 metres. The tower is 67.3 metres high.

Конечно, я помогу вам написать рассказ на английском языке о Спасской башне! Вот небольшой рассказ, который может вам помочь:

Once upon a time, in the heart of Moscow, stood a magnificent tower known as the Spasskaya Tower. This iconic structure was a symbol of Russia's rich history and architectural brilliance. Its majestic presence dominated the landscape, attracting tourists from all over the world.

The Spasskaya Tower, also known as the Savior's Tower, was part of the famous Moscow Kremlin. It was built in the 16th century and served as a gate to the Kremlin, protecting the city from enemies. The tower's intricate design reflected the grandeur of the Russian empire, with its red brick walls and golden accents.

Legend has it that the Spasskaya Tower was not only a gate but also a protector of the city. It was said that anyone who touched the tower would receive blessings and protection from harm. The people of Moscow would often gather near the tower, seeking solace and hope in its presence.

One winter's night, as a blanket of snow covered the city, a young girl named Natalia found herself standing in front of the Spasskaya Tower. She was mesmerized by its beauty and the stories she had heard about its magical powers. With a spark of curiosity in her eyes, Natalia reached out and touched the cold, stone wall of the tower.

To her surprise, a faint glow emanated from the tower, enveloping Natalia in its warm embrace. She felt a surge of energy and a sense of calm wash over her. Little did she know that this simple act would change her life forever.

From that day on, Natalia became known as the "Child of the Spasskaya Tower." She possessed a unique ability to bring joy and happiness to those around her. It was as if the tower's magic had infused her with an extraordinary power to heal and inspire.

Natalia dedicated her life to spreading love and kindness, using her gift to make a difference in the lives of others. She would visit hospitals, bringing comfort to the sick and the weary. She would organize charity events, raising funds for those in need. The people of Moscow admired her selflessness and regarded her as a true guardian of the city.

As the years passed, the Spasskaya Tower continued to stand tall, witnessing the ever-changing world around it. And Natalia, the Child of the Spasskaya Tower, became a legend in her own right. Her story inspired generations to come, reminding them of the power of compassion and the magic that lies within each and every one of us.

So, if you ever find yourself in Moscow, don't forget to visit the Spasskaya Tower. Touch its walls and let its magic ignite the fire within you. Who knows, maybe you'll discover your own unique gift and become a guardian of love and hope, just like Natalia, the Child of the Spasskaya Tower.

I hope this story captures the essence of the Spasskaya Tower and inspires you. Good luck with your writing!
