Story:
It was the summer of 2019, and my family and I decided to travel to Japan for a two-week vacation. We were excited about exploring the country's rich culture and experiencing the unique food and customs. Our first stop was Tokyo, where we spent a few days exploring the city. One day, we decided to take a train to visit the famous Sensoji Temple in Asakusa.
As we walked towards the temple, we noticed a crowd of people gathered around a small street vendor. Curiosity got the better of us, and we went to take a look. The vendor was selling a traditional Japanese snack called "takoyaki" - small balls of fried dough filled with octopus meat. We decided to try some, and it was delicious! The taste was unlike anything we had ever had before.
As we continued to explore the temple, we found ourselves gravitating back towards the takoyaki vendor. We ended up going back several times throughout the day to try more of the snack. It became a sort of game for us to see who could eat the most.
In the end, we left Tokyo with many memories, but the experience of trying takoyaki for the first time was one that stood out. It was a small but memorable part of our trip that we will always remember fondly.

The key words in the rubric are:
- start - where - main characters - how did they feel - happened - events in sequence - climax event - end - how did you feel
According to the rubric, the questions in the plan would be:
1. When and where did the story start? 2. Who were the main characters? 3. How did they feel? 4. What happened in paragraphs 2-3? (events in sequence and climax event) 5. What happened in the end? 6. How did you feel?
Now, let's write the story:
Paragraph 1: The story started on a sunny day in a small town called Oakville. The main characters were Lily, a young girl with a wild imagination, and her best friend, Jake. They were both excited for the adventure that awaited them. Lily was feeling a mix of nervousness and anticipation, while Jake was his usual optimistic self.
Paragraphs 2-3: As Lily and Jake set out on their adventure, they encountered a series of obstacles and exciting events. First, they stumbled upon a hidden treasure map while exploring an old abandoned house. They felt a rush of excitement as they realized the possibility of finding hidden treasure. Following the map, they embarked on a thrilling journey through dense forests and treacherous caves. Along the way, they overcame challenges, such as crossing a rickety bridge and outsmarting cunning traps.
Finally, they reached the climax event of their adventure - the discovery of the long-lost treasure. The moment they unearthed the buried chest filled with gold and jewels was a combination of sheer joy and disbelief. They couldn't believe their luck and felt a sense of accomplishment like never before.
Paragraph 4: In the end, Lily and Jake decided to donate a portion of their newfound wealth to help those in need. They realized that true happiness came from sharing their fortune and making a positive impact on others' lives. They felt a deep sense of fulfillment and gratitude for the amazing journey they had embarked on together.
How did you feel? Personally, I felt a rollercoaster of emotions while writing this story. The initial excitement and curiosity of the characters drew me in, and I couldn't help but root for them as they faced obstacles in their quest for treasure. The climax event was incredibly satisfying and left me feeling a sense of triumph alongside the characters. The conclusion, where they chose to share their wealth and make a difference, evoked a heartfelt warmth and admiration for their selflessness. Overall, it was a thrilling and inspiring story that made me feel a range of emotions.
