It was dark when he left the party, and he didn't have any bike lights. However, there wasn't much traffic, decided to cycle anyway. As he was cycling through the centre of town, he was hit by a car. The driver, Katy, was going too fast, so she didn't see Francis until it was too late. so Luckily, Katy stopped and took him to hospital. Francis was very badly injured, and the doctor said that he could have died, if the driver hadn't helped him. Katy felt very guilty, so she visited him frequently while he was in hospital. Surprisingly, Francis and Katy became good friends, and when Francis finally left hospital, Katy put him in touch with friend in a band.
