I really like the skater Evgeni Plushenko. When you watch his performance, you forget that figure skating is an incredibly difficult sport.  I know that figure skating starts at the age of five, or even earlier. Day after day, year after year, children learn all these elements through hard training. It is impossible to count how many there have been - since the time when Zhenya Plushenko first started skating. We only see dizzying quadruple jumps, but we don't see how much sweat he sheds in training. We do not feel how painful a skater is when he gets injured, and figure skating is one of the most traumatic sports.  No, we just admire the beautiful and technical ice dance, we rejoice at its victories. Probably so.  For this I love figure skating in general and Evgeni Plushenko in particular: for this ease. The fact that it really is, oh, how difficult it is, is passed by the viewer.
