I explored the city yesterday, so today I wanted to do something different. Then, this morning, anyone from my hostel invited me to go with him on a boat trip to the Great Barrier Reef. Of course, I said yes! From the moment I got out of the cabin of the boat, I knew it would be a special day. The boat had a glass bottom, so we could see everything that was happening underneath us as we sailed over the Great Barrier Reef. Then, the captain stopped the boat and everyone on board jumped in for a swim! I saw some wonderful sea creatures, turtles and brightly-coloured fish. As I was swimming along the side of the boat, I saw a large shape swimming along under the water next to me. At first I panicked because I thought it was a shark, but then I realised it was a friendly dolphin! I'm going on a scuba diving course tomorrow. Snorkelling was amazing, but it would be even better to be able to dive down to the bottom of the Great Barrier Reef. There really is anywhere like it in the world! Greetings from Cairns, Australia! Today was incredible as I went on a boat trip to the Great Barrier Reef. The boat had a glass bottom, allowing us to see the marine life below. We even swam alongside turtles, colorful fish, and a friendly dolphin. Tomorrow, I'm starting a scuba diving course to explore this unique wonder further. Have you tried scuba diving?
