Everybody loves holidays because during our holidays we can relax and have fun. You can do whatever you like, you don't have to get up too early, and do your homework. You get enough time to travel, play your favorite sports and practice your hobbies.

Most of all I like summer holidays because they are the longest ones. Now I'd like to tell you about my summer holidays I spent in Crimea.

It was the first time I’ve been there. I’ve been dreamed to visit Crimea for many years but our family couldn’t afford this. This summer my father said we can go to the Black sea. I couldn’t believe my ears. I asked him again if he is serious, but he said he already purchased tickets on the train to Simferopol.

On 5th July we left Kiev and went to Simferopol by train. Our destination was Alushta, so from Simferopol to Alushta we went by trolley-bus. As soon as we reached Crimean Mountains, I was stunned by the scenic views that I only saw in pictures. The road looped between mountains and soon we reached the Angarsky pass. It was the highest point on our road, so then we started to descend and finally we arrived to Alushta!

Alushta is one of the largest towns in Crimea. It’s situated on the seaside between high beautiful mountains. Of course, the main treasure of Alushta is magnificent Black sea!

It was a splendid time. We swimmed, walked by seaside, and visited many sights. Excursion to the Valley of the Ghosts, which is situated near Alushta, amazed me the most. The Valley of the Ghosts is surreal landscape of giant stone pillars that were sculpted by wind erosion. It was incredible sight, because I’ve never seen anything like this!

Also we’ve visited the Dzhur-Dzhur waterfall, the Marble Cave, and the Red Cave. Marble Cave has several underground halls with stalactites and stalagmites of fantastic shapes, resembling people and animals. The Red Cave has an underground river.

Those days were amazing and unforgettable; I wished if I had more days to spend over there. My holidays were exciting and full of joy. I enjoyed immensely. I think that Crimea is a real paradise on earth. I dream to visit it again.

Коли ми доїхали до Кримськіх гір, я був вражений мальовничими видами, які раніше бачив лише на малюнках. Шлях блукав серед гір і скоро ми досягли Ангарській перевал. Це була найвища точка нашого шляху, тому потім ми стали спускатися і, нарешті, приїхали в Алушту.

Алушта - одне з найбільших міст Криму. Вона розташована на березі моря в долині, оточеній високими гарними горами. Звісно, головний скарб Алушти - це прекрасне Чорне море!

Це був чудовий час. Ми плавали, гуляли по березі моря і відвідали багато цікавих місць. Більш за все мене вразила екскурсія в Долину привидів, яка знаходиться недалеко від Алушти. Долина привидів - це фантастичний, нереальний пейзаж! Гігантські кам'яні стовпи, створені в результаті вітрової ерозії. Це було неймовірне видовище, я ніколи не бачив нічого подібного!

Ми їздили також на водопад Джур-Джур, в Мармурову печеру і в Червону печеру. У Мармуровій печері є декілька підземних залів із сталактитами і сталагмітами незвичайних форм, що нагадують людей і тварин. А в Червоній печері протікає підземна річка.

Це були чудові і незабутні дні; я хотів би провести там більше часу. Мої канікули були дуже насиченими і радісними. Я отримав море задоволення. Мені здається, що Крим — це справжній рай на землі. Я мрію знову повернутися туди.

Last summer, I had the most amazing experience during my vacation as I spent it by the seaside. It was an unforgettable time filled with joy, relaxation, and new adventures. Let me share with you how I spent my summer holidays.

From the moment we arrived at the beach, the salty breeze and the sound of crashing waves welcomed us. The sight of the vast blue ocean stretching out before my eyes left me in awe. I knew right away that it was going to be an exceptional summer.

During the mornings, I enjoyed leisurely walks along the shore. The soft sand beneath my feet and the gentle touch of the water were refreshing. The beach was dotted with seashells and interesting pebbles, which I collected as souvenirs. Sometimes, I would wake up early to witness the mesmerizing sunrise, its golden hues reflecting off the water's surface. It was a peaceful and magical moment to start each day.

As the day progressed, I often engaged in various water activities. I tried my hand at surfing for the first time, which was both thrilling and challenging. I must admit, I fell off the board more times than I can count, but the sense of achievement when I finally managed to ride a wave made it all worth it. Snorkeling was another exciting adventure that allowed me to explore the underwater world, discovering vibrant coral reefs and colorful marine life.

One of the highlights of my vacation was building sandcastles on the beach with my friends. We turned it into a friendly competition, each trying to create the most impressive and imaginative castle. It brought out the child in all of us and resulted in endless laughter and camaraderie.

In the afternoons, I loved lounging under a beach umbrella with a good book in hand. Escaping into different worlds through the pages of a novel while feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin was pure bliss. It was the perfect way to unwind and escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

As the sun started to set, the beach transformed into a picturesque scene. The sky painted in hues of orange and pink created a breathtaking view. I would often take a moment to sit by the water's edge and marvel at the beauty of nature.

Evenings were for enjoying delicious seafood at local restaurants, savoring the taste of the ocean on my plate. The coastal cuisine was a delightful culinary experience, and I made sure to try as many new dishes as possible.

My summer vacation by the seaside was an exceptional time of relaxation, adventure, and new experiences. It allowed me to unwind, connect with nature, and create lasting memories with friends and family. I returned home feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the incredible time I had.
