Sir Sean Connery was born on August 25th, 1930, in Edinburgh, Scotland. He left school at the age of 13 and had a number of different jobs. His first acting job was in the theatre, where he appeared in the musical South Pacific. He made his first film, "Lilacs in the Spring," in 1954.

Sean Connery became famous in 1962 when he portrayed James Bond in the first Bond film, "Dr. No." He went on to make six other Bond films, and to this day, many people still think of him as the real James Bond.
