Many people today prefer watching popular new movies at home to going to the cinema. Some consider this fact is unproved, while others think that the number of people going to cinemas decreased dramatically.
Going to the cinema was the most popular pastime among young people and children in the twentieth century, it could only be compared in popularity with some sporting events like football matches or car races. During the first decade of the twenty-first century, the majority of people staying home and watching films with their families increased. I believe that this increase in watching TV at home can be explained by a rising improvement in the quality of the tv sets and computers used to watching movies.
There are those on the other hand, who argue, that almost the same number of people are still going to the cinemas. They point out that modern, more advanced technologies made it much more comfortable to watch an interesting, breath-taking movie at the cinema rather than watch it at home. New sophisticated devices made sounds accompanying movies more clear and loud and a picture shown on the screen became more bright and real.
In conclusion, although there is still a number of people sticking to the belief that the cinema hasn't lost its position yet, I am deeply convinced that in the future more and more families get together in front of their tv sets to watch a movie or a program instead of going to the cinema.

Television VS Cinema
Television and cinema are two popular forms of entertainment that have captivated audiences for decades. While they share some similarities, they also have distinct differences that make each unique.
In terms of accessibility, television has the upper hand. It allows viewers to enjoy a wide range of content from the comfort of their own homes. With streaming services, viewers can choose what to watch, when to watch it, and even binge-watch entire series in one sitting. On the other hand, cinema provides a larger-than-life experience with its big screens and surround sound systems. It offers a communal experience, where audiences gather to enjoy a film together.
When it comes to the emotional impact, both television and cinema have their merits. Television series have the advantage of developing characters and storylines over multiple episodes or seasons, creating a deep connection between viewers and the characters. In contrast, cinema often delivers intense, two-hour experiences that can leave a lasting impression. Past tense sentences like "The movie I watched last week was incredibly moving" or "The TV show I followed for years had a satisfying ending" highlight the emotional resonance of both mediums.
In conclusion, television and cinema have their own unique strengths and appeal to different preferences. Television offers convenience and character development, while cinema provides a larger-than-life experience and intense emotions. Ultimately, the choice between the two depends on individual tastes and the experience one seeks, but both mediums continue to shape our entertainment landscape.
