В конструкциях с wish для событий в прошлом используется Past Perfect; когда говорят о настоящем и о будущем, используют Past Simple. Маркеры времени (yesterday, now и т.д.) помогают определить, что выбрать. В письменной/формальной речи для to be используют форму were, для разговорной допустимо was.

Сначала о том, что дано. Тема – Conditionals. Существует 4 типа: 0 - общие факты, 1 - вероятное событие в будущем, 2 - маловероятное событие в будущем (навряд ли), 3 - события в прошлом; есть и смешанный тип - гибрид 3 и 1: если бы в прошлом что-то произошло, что-то могло бы случиться в будущем, или наоборот. Теперь о том, что нужно сделать: в придаточной части (где if) сдвинуть глагол до формы прошедшего времени (для be это were без учёта лица), а в основной части глагол поставить в форму would + V. В этом задании все предложения касаются настоящего времени, поэтому структура везде идентичная.

1. If the weather were warm, we would bathe in the river.
2. If there were much snow in January, they would go skiing every day.
3. If the rain stopped, the girls would go for a walk.
4. If he were not very busy, he would help you.
5. If she came tomorrow, she would join us.

Для примера я покажу, как выглядело бы первое предложение в остальных типах Conditionals. Это всё стоит проанализировать, конечно, чтобы понять, сопоставить. Если будет время, попробуй.

• (0) If the weather is warm, we bathe in the river. – Когда погода стоит тёплая, мы моемся в речке.
• (1) If the weather is warm, we will bathe in the river. – Если погода станет тёплой, мы помоемся в речке.
• (3) If the weather had been warm, we would have bathed in the river. – Если бы погода (в прошлом) стояла тёплая, мы бы (тогда) (по)мылись в речке.
• (смешанный #1) If the weather had been warm, we would bathe in the river. – Если бы погода (в прошлом) стояла тёплой, мы бы сейчас могли помыться в речке.
• (смешанный #2) If the weather were warm, we would have bathed in the river. – Если бы сейчас стояла тёплая погода, мы бы тогда могли помыться в речке.

А здесь дело заходит уже о прошлом, поэтому нужно сдвигать времена до предпрошедшего – в Past Perfect. К тому же, здесь нужно из двух посылок составить вывод: случилось А, поэтому случилось Б > если бы не случилось А, не случилось бы и Б – или наоборот.

1. If Nick had worked hard, he would have passed his examination .
2. If my sister hadn't been busy last night, she would have watched watch television .
3. If you had sent me a telegram, I would have met you at the station.
4. If the weather hadn't been bad the day before yesterday, the children would have gone to bed.
