Every person can become a sick one. Hospitals provide medical services to us, and every service has different cost.
Somebody is rich and somebody is poor. But in my opinion, every medical service must be surcharge, and prices must be affordable for everybody because a fair society looks after the underprivileged. The number of elderly people is increasing and doctors need to be funded from somewhere.
But cervices must be quality and payment by installments, to let every person pay for them. I think, it helps to improve quality of care.
In conclusion, I want to say that this issue requires more attention from society and government. There is no single solution, it is necessary to consider all factors.

Medical Castles of England: A Historical Perspective
Introduction: England, a land rich in history and architectural marvels, boasts a unique set of structures that have played a pivotal role in healthcare for centuries – medical castles. These remarkable edifices, scattered across the English countryside, represent a convergence of medicine and architecture. In this essay, we will explore the significance of these medical castles in England's history, their evolution over time, and their enduring legacy in modern healthcare.
The Historical Context: To understand the role of medical castles in England, it's essential to delve into their historical context. These castles emerged during a period when healthcare was intertwined with the broader challenges of maintaining law and order. The medieval period, marked by frequent conflicts and the ever-present threat of diseases, necessitated innovative solutions to provide care and protection for the afflicted.
Origins and Purpose: Medical castles, also known as lazarets or pest houses, were designed with specific purposes in mind. One of the primary functions was to quarantine individuals suffering from contagious diseases such as the bubonic plague, leprosy, and smallpox. By isolating patients, these castles aimed to prevent the spread of infections to the wider population.
Architecture and Design: The architectural features of medical castles were well-thought-out to meet the unique needs of healthcare in that era. They often featured high walls, secure gates, and watchtowers to control entry and exit. The layout of these structures typically included separate quarters for patients, medical staff, and support personnel. Ventilation systems were designed to minimize the risk of airborne transmission of diseases, showcasing an early understanding of epidemiology.
Notable Medical Castles: Several medical castles in England stand out for their historical significance. One of the most renowned is St. Leonard's Hospital in York, which was originally built as a leper hospital in the 12th century. Another is the Lazarus House in Winchester, serving as a refuge for lepers. These castles are a testament to the commitment of society to provide care for those suffering from contagious diseases.
Evolution and Modern Healthcare: As medical knowledge evolved, the role of medical castles changed. The development of effective treatments and vaccines for many diseases rendered isolation less necessary. Consequently, many medical castles transitioned into other uses or fell into disrepair. However, their legacy endures in the form of modern hospitals, which have incorporated lessons from the past, such as the importance of infection control and patient isolation.
Conclusion: The medical castles of England offer a fascinating glimpse into the historical intersection of healthcare and architecture. These structures, with their distinctive designs and roles, played a vital part in mitigating the spread of contagious diseases during a tumultuous period in England's history. While their original purposes have largely become obsolete, their enduring legacy is evident in the modern healthcare system's commitment to infection control and patient care. By studying the history of these medical castles, we can better appreciate the progress made in healthcare and architecture over the centuries.
