My family has the tradition of organizing surprise parties as well, which I think is pretty amazing. Last year we had done gorgeous tea party for my mom's birthday. But usually it is as simple as typical "surprise" from behind the sofa!

Among all tasks that we have during party preparation are the ones connected to cleaning up, buying cool decorations and ordering a big cake! I personally in love with cakes done by old woman Mary from New Avenue Street. She is amazing sweet old lady, I have never tasted something better then her apple pie filling! Maybe you will consider her baking skills for your party?

As for the people invited, we try to keep it simple with as less people as possible. We prefer to celebrate with a small circle of relatives. What about you?
