I think people travel abroad for many reasons. First of all, traveling is a great opportunity to broaden your mind. When you travel you visit plenty of attractions, if you take an excursion you learn the history of the places and interesting facts. Travelling gives you good emotions, as you can see very beautiful places: buildings, parks, lakes and beaches. When you travel you meet a lot of different people, who you can talk to and understand their way of thinking and the way they see the world. You learn about the culture, customs and traditions of other nationalities. You can also practice your English with those people. My last trip abroad was last summer, when my family and I went to the Netherlands. It was so wonderful! The weather was great, very sunny and warm. I liked the local people, they are very friendly, smiling and always ready to help you. We visited the Northern sea, visited lots of local attractions and museums. We went to Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, Madurodam museum in the Hague, where you can see all the Netherlands attractions in little size. Unfortunately, our trip wasn’t so long, just 5 days, but I hope to come back there and see other nice places of this great country.

I'd be happy to share a fictional travel experience:
Several years ago, in the summer of 2019, I embarked on an exciting journey to Kyoto, Japan, a city known for its rich history, stunning temples, and breathtaking natural beauty. I was accompanied by my best friend, Sarah, and it was a trip we had been planning for months.
We chose to travel to Kyoto in mid-July, just as the city was starting to embrace the warm embrace of summer. We landed at Kansai International Airport, and the moment we stepped off the plane, the mixture of excitement and jet lag overwhelmed us. But it didn't take long for the anticipation to set in as we hopped on the Haruka Express train, which swiftly transported us from the airport to Kyoto Station.
Our accommodation was a cozy traditional Japanese ryokan nestled in the heart of Gion, the historic geisha district of Kyoto. The traditional Japanese-style room, complete with tatami mats, sliding paper doors, and a serene garden view, immediately immersed us in the local culture.
Over the course of our week-long stay, we explored the city extensively. Each day began with a traditional Japanese breakfast at our ryokan, featuring miso soup, grilled fish, and freshly steamed rice. We then ventured out to explore the city's many temples and shrines, such as the iconic Kinkaku-ji, also known as the Golden Pavilion, and Fushimi Inari Taisha with its thousands of torii gates. The juxtaposition of ancient traditions and modern life in Kyoto was striking.
On one day, we took a short train ride to Nara to see the friendly, free-roaming deer in Nara Park and the enormous Great Buddha statue at Todai-ji Temple. The experience of feeding the deer and marveling at the historical landmarks made it a memorable day trip.
Another highlight of our journey was experiencing a traditional tea ceremony in a quaint tea house, where we learned about the intricacies of the Japanese tea culture and the significance of each movement and gesture.
Our evenings were filled with delicious Japanese cuisine, including sushi, tempura, and okonomiyaki, and we enjoyed sake at a local izakaya. We even witnessed the Gion Matsuri, a famous summer festival featuring magnificent floats and traditional performances.
As the week came to an end, we felt a profound connection to the culture and history of Kyoto. The city's serene atmosphere, punctuated by moments of vibrant celebration and profound spiritual reflection, left a lasting impression on us. We departed Kyoto with memories of a unique journey, promising to return one day and explore more of Japan's beautiful cities.
