Giant Bolster was so big that with step he could travel six miles one from hilltop to hilltop! He lived in Cornwall on the tip of England and terrified the locals, stealing sheep and even eating . One day, though, he fell in love with a young girl called Agnes and asked her to marry him. Agnes didn't want to, so she tried to think of a way to get rid of him for good. She asked him to do dangerous things to win her love but nothing worked, she had one last idea. She asked him so to fill up a hole in a nearby cliff with his blood. Bolster agreed After all, how much giant's blood does it take to fill a small hole? The hole, though, led down into the sea. All his blood ran into the sea and that was the end of the evil giant. This is a very popular legend in Cornwall. Locals say you can still see a red stain on the cliffs at Chapel Porth!

Once upon a time, there was a gigantic creature named Bolster, who was renowned for his enormous size and strength. He resided in Cornwall, a picturesque region situated at the tip of England. However, despite his impressive stature, Bolster had a sinister reputation among the locals. He would often instill fear by stealing their sheep and even devouring them.
One fateful day, Bolster's life took an unexpected turn when he fell deeply in love with a young girl named Agnes. Desiring to make her his wife, Bolster approached Agnes and proposed to her. Unfortunately for Bolster, Agnes did not share the same affection and was determined to find a way to rid herself of the giant's advances forever.
Agnes concocted a plan to test Bolster's devotion. She challenged him to perform a series of perilous tasks, hoping that he would fail and give up his pursuit. Despite the dangerous nature of these tasks, Bolster completed each one without hesitation, fueled by his love for Agnes. Agnes realized that her plan had failed, but she still had one last idea up her sleeve.
In a final attempt to be rid of Bolster, Agnes proposed a seemingly harmless request. She asked him to fill a small hole in a nearby cliff with his own blood, claiming that it was a symbol of his love and dedication. Bolster, naively believing that a giant's blood would be sufficient to fill the hole, agreed without hesitation.
Unbeknownst to Bolster, the hole extended deep into the sea. As he poured his blood into the crevice, it flowed through the hole and into the ocean, draining him of his life force. Bolster's colossal form was gradually weakened until he met his ultimate demise. The legend of Bolster's downfall spread throughout Cornwall, becoming a popular tale among the locals.
To this day, it is said that if you visit the cliffs at Chapel Porth in Cornwall, you may still catch a glimpse of a crimson stain, serving as a lasting reminder of the vanquished giant Bolster.
