The first of September is the first day of school. It is a happy day for all schoolchildren and their parents. It is especially a great holiday for those boys and girls who are beginning to go to school. Let’s go out and see what people are doing in the streets this morning. There are a lot of schoolchildren in the streets. They are going to school. Boys and girls are carrying schoolbags, many of them have flowers in their hands. Senior pupils are going to school by themselves, but small children are going with their parents at their side. There are pupils in the schoolyard. They are not playing games this morning. They are speaking about the summer holidays, about their new teachers and what is new at school. Music is playing and soon a meeting begins. The pupils, their parents and other people who are present listen to the director’s speech. Then a small girl with flowers is ringing the bell. The pupils are going to their classrooms and school year is beginning. Первое сентября. Первое сентября - первый день учебы. Это счастливый день для всех школьников и их родителей. Особенно это большой праздник для тех мальчиков и девочек, которые начинают ходить в школу. Давайте выйдем на улицу и посмотрим, что делают люди на улицах сегодня утром. Там много школьников. Они идут в школу. Мальчики и девочки несут портфели, многие из них с цветами в руках. Старшеклассники идут в школу сами, а маленькие дети - с родителями. В школьном дворе много учеников. Они не играют в игры сегодня утром. Они говорят о летних каникулах, о своих новых учителях, и о том, что нового в школе. Музыка играет, и вскоре начнется линейка. Ученики, их родители и другие люди, которые присутствуют, слушают речь директора. Потом маленькая девочка с цветами, звонит в колокольчик. Ученики идут в классы и учебный год начинается.

My First Day at School

I can still vividly remember my first day at school. It was a mix of excitement and nervousness as I stepped into the unfamiliar territory of the classroom. Everything around me was new and different. The walls were adorned with colorful posters, and the desks were neatly arranged in rows. I took a deep breath and walked towards an empty seat, ready to embark on this new adventure.

As the teacher introduced herself and the other students, I couldn't help but feel a bit overwhelmed. The room was buzzing with chatter, and I was trying my best to remember everyone's name. It seemed like a daunting task, but I was determined to make new friends and blend in.

Throughout the day, we engaged in various activities to get to know each other better. We shared stories about our summer vacations and our favorite hobbies. Slowly but surely, I started to feel more comfortable in the company of my classmates. They were welcoming and friendly, which helped alleviate my initial fears.

The highlight of the day was when we had our first lesson. The teacher taught us about the alphabet and how to write our names. Holding the pencil in my hand, I carefully traced the letters, feeling a sense of accomplishment as I saw my name written on the paper. It was a small victory, but it made me realize that I was capable of learning and growing in this new environment.

Recess was another exciting part of the day. The playground was filled with laughter and joy as we ran around, played games, and made new connections. I remember making my first friend during that break. We bonded over our shared love for soccer, and from that moment on, we became inseparable.

As the day came to an end, I reflected on my first day at school with a sense of pride. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, but I had overcome my initial anxieties and found my place in this new community.
