Although he's not always well-mannered or obedient, he has a heart of gold and his intentions are usually good. He's loyal to his friends and has a fiercely independent streak. Tom is often uninterested in school and prefers to spend his days fishing, playing outside, and exploring the woods. Despite his mischievous nature, Tom has a strong sense of morality and is always ready to do the right thing when it matters most.
