The golden fish had seen the boy and knew what he wanted from it. It decided to grant his wish. The fish agreed to give the boy all the wealth in the world, and in exchange, the boy had to release it back into the lake.

The boy was astonished and overjoyed. He agreed to the fish's terms, and the fish promised that all his dreams would come true. The golden fish then disappeared into the depths of the lake.
