Yerevan is the capital of Armenia. 1,1 mln people live in Yerevan and it is the largest city in Armenia.

Yerevan is the most important transport crossroad, as well as political, economic, cultural and scientific center. The city has 2 airports and Yerevan had a metro since 1981.

The name of Yerevan originated from Urartian Erebuni fortress before it was called Yerevan city. Yerevan is more then 2800 year old. It has been the capital since 1918 and is the 12th in the history of Armenia.

Yerevan is located from 900 to 1300 meters above the sea level. The climate is mild. Hot dry summers and relatively short but cold winters are typical for Yerevan. It is divided into 2 parts by the Hrazdan River.

Ереван является столицей Армении. 1,1 млн. людей живут в Ереване, и это самый крупный город в Армении.

My favorite city in Armenia

Armenia is a small and beautiful country in the South Caucasus region. It is rich in history, culture, and stunning landscapes. One of my favorite cities in Armenia is Yerevan, the capital city.

Yerevan is a vibrant and exciting city that is full of life around the clock. It has a diverse and beautiful architecture, with wide boulevards and small winding streets that are perfect for exploring. Yerevan is also a city of contrasts, where you can find both the ancient and the modern.

One of my favorite places in Yerevan is the Republic Square, which is the heart of the city. There are many beautiful buildings surrounding the square, such as the National Gallery of Armenia and the Government House. The square also has a beautiful fountain that is lit up at night, which makes it a perfect place to relax after a long day of sightseeing.

Another great place to visit in Yerevan is the Cascade, which is a massive staircase that leads up to a hill overlooking the city. The Cascade has many levels and is filled with beautiful sculptures and artworks. At the top of the Cascade, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city.

Yerevan is also a city of delicious food and wine. The local cuisine is diverse and rich in flavors, and there are many restaurants and cafes where you can try traditional Armenian dishes such as khorovats (grilled meat) and dolma (stuffed grape leaves).

In conclusion, Yerevan is a beautiful and exciting city that has something for everyone. It is a city that is steeped in history, culture, and tradition, and yet it is also modern and cosmopolitan. Yerevan is the perfect place to experience the best of Armenia, and it is definitely my favorite city in the country.
