Артикль «а/an» используется когда мы говорим о чём-то, что мы, скажем так, не видели и не знаем точно о ней. Этот артикль используется всегда в единственном числе. В остальным случаях пишется «the»

Present simple - пример: sheep eats grass. Это время используется тогда, когда мы знаем, что это действие исполняется постоянно. На это время могут также указывать слова «every ...». Например: I go to the park every day.

Множественное число. Пример: most of my friends are students. На мн. число указывает «s» в конце слова (именно существительного, и то не всегда). На множественное число также указывает «are».

Is используется с местоимениями He, She, It. Are используется с We, They, You. Am используется с I.

Is/are всегда ставится в начале вопросительного предложения.

Person - people, people - это множественное число слова person. Это слово-исключение.

Many/much используется во множественном числе. Пример: We didn’t catch many fishes. Many - исчисляемое (которое можно почитать), much - неисчислимое (нельзя почитать).

Scissors всегда пишется во множественном числе, поэтому и aren’t (are not)
