One day, Red was prowling around the forest looking for his next prey when he came across a group of rabbits. He pounced on them, but one of the rabbits managed to escape. The rabbit ran as fast as it could, with Red hot on its heels.

The rabbit ran for miles until it came across a clearing. In the middle of the clearing stood a wise old owl. The rabbit ran up to the owl and begged for his help. The owl, being wise, knew how to deal with Red. He told the rabbit to hide behind a nearby bush while he went to talk to Red.

The owl approached Red and asked him why he was chasing the rabbit. Red growled and said that he was hungry and wanted to eat the rabbit. The owl then asked Red if he knew what would happen if he continued to hunt and kill all the animals in the forest. Red didn't care, and he said that he would do whatever he pleased.

The owl then told Red a story about a wolf who hunted all the animals in a forest, leaving nothing but a barren wasteland behind him. The wolf soon became bored and hungry, with nothing left to eat. The owl warned Red that if he continued down the path he was on, he would end up like that wolf.

Red listened to the owl's story and realized that he didn't want to end up alone and hungry. He apologized to the owl and promised never to harm the animals in the forest again. From that day on, Red became a changed wolf. He still had his fiery fur coat, but he was no longer feared by the other animals in the forest. He lived peacefully with them, and they all respected him for his wisdom and kindness.

And so, the wise old owl had saved not just the rabbit, but the entire forest from Red's wrath.
