Hi John!
Congratulations on the occasion of your entering the University!
I see you've got some problems with cooking.
You know I am fond of cooking. If you don't object I'll try to teach you to cook.
Here is the simpliest recipe :
You need three eggs, a loaf of white bread, some oil ,a bit of salt by taste. Cut the bread into thin slices, pour some oil into the pan and heat it. Then break aggs into a bowl, add some salt (just a pinch ) ,mix eggs thoroughly. Take a slice of bread put it into the bowl with eggs and one after another fry them in the pan. Serve fried slices on the plate .
Bone appetite!
Next time I'll teach you how to cook a porridge.
See you soon! Good luck!
Sincerely your friend Ann.

Dear [Pen-friend's Name],

I was thrilled to receive your letter and hear the exciting news of your admission to a university! Congratulations on this wonderful achievement. Moving to a new city and living in a student's hostel can indeed be a little daunting, but I'm confident that you'll adapt and enjoy this new chapter in your life.

Regarding your concern about cooking, let me share my own experience with you. Personally, I find cooking to be an enjoyable and rewarding activity. Not only does it allow me to explore my creativity in the kitchen, but it also provides me with a sense of independence and self-sufficiency. However, I understand that not everyone feels the same way about cooking, and that's perfectly alright.

In my family, we have a system of sharing household duties. While I often take on the responsibility of cooking, other members of my family contribute in various ways to ensure a smooth running of our household. For instance, my sister takes care of grocery shopping, my mother handles the laundry, and my father assists with cleaning and maintenance tasks. This division of labor allows each person to contribute their skills and interests while maintaining a balance in our household chores.

To help you feel more at ease in the kitchen, I'd like to share a simple recipe with you. This dish requires minimal effort and is perfect for a quick and delicious meal. Here's a recipe for a classic pasta aglio e olio:

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams of spaghetti or any pasta of your choice
  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely minced
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • Red pepper flakes (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
  2. In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until it becomes golden brown and fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.
  3. Add the red pepper flakes and salt to the pan, adjusting the quantities to your taste. Stir briefly to combine the flavors.
  4. Add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss well, ensuring that the pasta is evenly coated with the garlic-infused oil.
  5. If the pasta seems too dry, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to loosen it up and create a silky sauce.
  6. Garnish the pasta with freshly chopped parsley and, if desired, sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese on top for added flavor.
  7. Serve the dish immediately and enjoy!

I hope you find this recipe helpful and give it a try. Remember, cooking can be a fun and experimental process, so feel free to adjust the ingredients and seasonings to suit your taste preferences.

Wishing you all the best with your university journey and your new living arrangements. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any more questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with.

Take care and keep in touch!

Warm regards, [Your Name]
