I want to tell you about my favourite room in our flat. That is our living-room. It’s large and light. There is a big window in it. There is not much furniture in our living-room. We have no armchairs, no wall-units in the living-room because they take too much space.  And there are no drapes on the window, only net curtain and jalousie. I like our cream-coloured wallpaper. On the left, there is a sofa with the small bright cushions. On the right, there is a tea-table. We usually have tea there at the weekend while talking or watching TV. By the way, we have a big TV-set in front of the sofa and a modern stereo-system in the corner. My father likes to listen to soft relaxing music after work. There’s a long wooden bookshelf with many interesting classic and modern books on it. We have a big painting with a nice summer landscape above the sofa and some interesting photos of our family on the other wall. There is a thick warm carpet on the floor and a beautiful cut-glass chandelier on the ceiling. So the living-room doesn’t look empty. It's cosy and there are two funny big toy dogs and several pots with beautiful green plants. My Mum likes them very much, and so do I. Our living-room is the place for rest and communication. It’s spacious and comfortable. We all enjoy spending time there.

Слева стоит диван с небольшими яркими подушками. Справа находится чайный столик. У нас обычно есть чай там в выходные во время разговора или просмотра телевизора. Кстати, перед диваном стоит большой телевизор, а в углу-современная стереосистема. Мой отец любит слушать тихую и расслабляющую музыку после работы. Есть там также длинная деревянная книжная полка с множеством интересных классических и современных книг. Есть большая картина с красивым летним пейзажем над диваном и несколько интересных фотографий нашей семьи на другой стене. На полу лежит плотный теплый ковер, а на потолке висит красивая хрустальная люстра. Так что гостиная не выглядит пустой. Она уютная и там есть две забавные большие игрушечные собачки и несколько горшков с красивыми зелеными растениями. Моя мама любит их очень, так же, как и я. Наша гостиная - это место отдыха и общения. Она просторная и удобная. Мы все любим проводить там время.
